In support of our projects, our club currently conducts three fund raising events each year. In the Fall we have a Pancake Supper held in the Smithfield-Selma Senior (SSS) High School cafeteria. In the Spring we host a Ham & Yam Supper in the SSS cafeteria to kickoff Smithfield's annual Ham & Yam Festival, a three day event held each April. Our third project is also a Ham & Yam Festival event, the ever popular Ham Biscuit Booth at the Saturday downtown extravaganza.

The Kiwanis Club of Smithfield awards two scholarships each year, The A.G. and Connie Glenn Scholarship and a Johnston Community College Scholarship. The A.G. and Connie Glenn Scholarship is funded largely by an endowment fund established by the Glenns who for many years served as educators in Smithfield and Johnston County. A.G. Glenn was a loyal member of the club and served as club president in 1937.
